Why we built it

We were doing this work ourselves.

At Heart + Harmony Kids, answering a future enrollment question meant checking birthdays, room ages, ratios, part-time schedules, move-ups and the next room after that.

We built Vicki's Cubbies to make that decision easier inside our own center. Then we kept improving it as we used it. Now we're opening it to other childcare operators who want the same thing: a quick answer without another complicated system to manage.

Plain answers.

Do I need to leave Brightwheel, Procare, Playground or another system?

No. Vicki's Cubbies is intentionally separate. Use your current system for running the center and Vicki's Cubbies for enrollment and capacity planning.

Does it know how children move between our rooms?

Yes. During setup you build your rooms and choose the normal next room for each move-up. The look-ahead view follows that path and flags conflicts for you to review.

Does it handle part-time schedules?

Yes. Seat availability is calculated by weekday, so part-time children only use capacity on the days they attend.

Does it replace licensing judgment?

No. Your center controls the room ages, ratios, staffing and group-size settings. The tool is for planning; directors still make the final operational and licensing decisions.
